Pride Fundraising Event at 4th Line Theatre
Thanks to everyone who attended the sold out performance! We raised over $1800 for Pride while enjoying another amazing performance on a great evening! Thanks to Suzanne Galloway, Jim Abel, Hunter Kole, Rosemary Ganley, Trish Slavik and Rick Lambert for helping out. Special thanks to the Millbrook Lion’s for the BBQ, Pastry Peddler for the delicious cupcakes, and 4th Line Theatre and their staff for everything! Saturday September 14th
Pride Outreach Booth in Lansdowne Place Mall @ 10am to 6pm
In an effort to engage more of Peterborough about the LGBT community and the planned Pride celebrations we are hitting the mall! Our booth will be at the top of the stairs from 10am to 6pm and we hope you will drop by and say hi! A family-friendly event, get your creative juices flowing for the Pride Parade
with a pride clothing exchange and creative time to make flags, banners, signs
and decorate clothes for Saturday’s parade. This year’s theme is Free to Be…!

Pre-Pride Coming Out Workshop @ 5:30
5:30pm to 7:30 at Sadleir House (751 George St N)
With Peterborough Pride kicking off on September 21 we invite people to an evening of coming out discussion. Whether you are looking to come out, have come out or want to be an ally this is a chance to share experiences, talk about what has worked and what might not, look at some tools and resources that might support the coming out experience. PFLAG Pre-Parade Brunch @ 11 am *
A pre-Parade Brunch will be hosted by PFLAG Peterborough
Everyone is welcome. Come out and meet new and old friends from the community before the parade!
The brunch starts at 11am at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, corner of Water and Murray Streets in Peterborough, (enter side door) – MAP
This is right across the street from the parade starting point.
PFLAG Peterborough is delighted to provide food free of charge (Donations will be gratefully accepted).

Everyone Loves a Pride Parade! activities start @ 1:30pm
- Where: Peterborough City Hall, 500 George St. N. with activities starting at 1:30pm including raising of the Pride flag and reading of the Pride Proclamation by the Mayor! The parade starts at 2pm
- Bring a friend, the family, yourself and most of all – your pride! Don’t miss this awesome opportunity to be out and proud in your own community!
- Reading of the Proclamation and flag raising at City Hall will be followed by the 11th annual Peterborough Pride Parade. It’s all about you (and us) so lets not be afraid to show our spirit!

Where: Del Crary Park (At the east end of Rink Street at the Little Lake band shell)

The Community and Race Relations Committee (CRRC) of Peterborough and the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI) Positive Spaces Initiative invite you to participate in a FREE workshop on creating Positive Spaces for LGBTQ+ newcomers which includes discussions on terminology and language, intersectional issues, support, and creating positive spaces!
