Join the Parade!
Join us on Saturday, September 21st for the 17th Peterborough Pride Parade as we celebrate our diversity, our passion and our pride!
The theme of the 2019 Pride Week is “Unstoppable”. As a movement for human rights and as individuals that is what we are! We invite you to embrace it and make it part of your participation.
Pride Kick-off starts with the pre-Parade activities at 1:30 pm at City Hall and the parade starts at 2 pm!
Individuals are welcome to march in the parade and do not have to be part of a registered group. If you don’t wish to be in the parade, please join the spectators along George Street and make the parade participants welcome!
The parade route starts from City Hall (500 George Street N) and runs south on George Street and turns east at Sherbrooke Street onto Water Street and swings north to end at Millennium Park on the east side of Water Street. Come join us for the parade and the “Pride in the Park” festivities in the park until 6pm!
Please be advised, a road closure will be in effect from McDonnell to Murray Streets at 12 pm and there will be a “rolling” road closure from 2 pm – 3 pm southbound on George St., turning at Sherbooke St. onto Water St.
Groups (with or without floats) wishing to participate in the parade must complete the Online Registration and Waiver Form (See below and scroll down to fill in and submit the form). Confirmed groups should check-in at 1pm at the Pride booth across from City Hall to get info about their position in the Parade.
